I prefer to draw:
- TTRPG/FFXIV/fantasy-genre characters
- Cute/sweet romantic pictures
- Animals/fantasy creatures
- Natural scenes
- Natural/calm colors
- Feminine characters (I can draw masculine characters, but draw far more feminine)
- Pokemon/Digimon
I do not enjoy drawing/am probably not the artist to commission for:
- Complex weapons
- Mecha/vehicles
- Inflatable characters
- Very bright, contrasting neon colors
- Monkeys, they are scary
These are things that I could be willing to try, but I can't guarantee they will turn out as well as the items I have more practice with.I do NOT draw:
- Most harder fetish content, including but not limited to: adults in diapers (babies are fine), extremely exaggerated bodyparts (muscles, exaggerated obesity (fat is okay, though!), inflation), incest, scat/watersports, sexual violence/rape, vore, fetishized pregnancy (regular pregnancy okay)
- Kids or kidlike characters in sexually suggestive situations (including lalafel/immortal beings; anyone who could be mistaken as a child by someone not involved in a fandom)
- Gore (mild may be okay, as in my zombie work, but nothing too gross/that requires references)
- Children's media characters in suggestive situations (i.e. pokemon, digimon, MLP, etc.; OCs with different enough designs are acceptable)
- Basically anything that even remotely resembles bestiality, including but not limited to ferals/real animals in suggestive situations
I reserve the right to refuse any commission based on the subject matter if I don't feel comfortable with it.If you have any questions of what I will draw, feel free to ask - as long as you are respectful, the worst I will say is no :)

"Spot Tax"/Complexity Fee

Complex characters (with very specific and complicated patterns you do not want simplified, multiple extra limbs, complicated clothing, etc.) will be charged an additional fee. This will usually only be $1-4, depending on the level of commission and how detailed your character is. I will let you know if this fee applies when you give me your references. Dark skin tones, randomized simple spots, a regular set of bat or feathery wings, or an extra tail or two will not incur this fee.If the outfit you provided for your character is very complex (i.e. an FFXIV outfit), I will simplify it by default and it will not incur a separate fee unless you request otherwise.

"Maturity Tax"

Mature images have an additional 35% fee. This offsets the extra work those pieces take for posing/etc. I also have the right to turn down any commission with themes I'm not comfortable with. If you have a specific pose in mind, please send a (labeled) link to a reference image so I don't have to go looking. Do not provide a video or homemade reference. Please note that I am on the asexual spectrum and do not get any "special" enjoyment out of this kind of piece. Transactions for these are strictly business and I'd prefer conversations be limited to that.

Reference Material

I prefer working with flat-colored reference sheets with clear color swatches, as these will allow your commission to be completed faster and with fewer errors. If you provide a screenshot of an in-game character or a reference picture that has heavy shading/highlights, please note that even if I use an eyedropper tool to pick a color, it may look different in a final piece due to how lighting changes things. When a character has darker skin, especially in FFXIV commissions, I will err to make the skin slightly darker than in screenshots since in-game lighting often washes out colors. If you have an issue with the color of your character's skin in the final piece, please ask for me to correct it.If you are upfront about any disparities between a reference image and your character's current design (i.e. "the scar in this reference is a few inches too high"), I would be happy to include those changes. If you do not have any clothing examples, specify if you want them to be naked (Barbie/Ken-style anatomy for SFW pictures) or if you have a preferred fashion style. Google image links to actual images of clothing are welcome. If you do not tell me what they should be wearing, I will draw them in whatever I feel fits the commission, be it naked or an outfit of a style I find in your gallery/favorites. Keep in mind that any outfits that expose nipples or private regions will incur a 35% up-charge; see "Maturity Tax".I will work off of text-only references for no additional charge, as long as you are specific in your description. You are also welcome to send google or other artists' image examples of the species/specific markings you prefer. I will not use someone else's character as a sole reference without an appropriate number of additional requested changes. Inspiration is great, stealing designs is not!If the commission is above $10, you will have a sketch to approve where you can suggest basic changes. In the final drawing, you can suggest simple color tweaks (i.e. "make that purple a little more blue/indigo"), but for shaded drawings especially, allowed changes are minor.

Payment Details

I will send you an invoice once you send me the commission request. Please include your username in the payment note and no other information. Please do not send money without having talked to me first!Commissions that cost less than $10 must be paid for upfront before I begin work.
All $10+ commissions must be paid for in full after you receive and approve a watermarked sketch. You can pay in advance if you prefer, but I will still ask for you to approve the sketch unless you give artistic freedom and waive your right to revisions.
Refunds
There are no refunds after you have approved the sketch for a $10+ commission. If you paid in advance, you can request a full refund at the time you get the sketch or before.
By refusing a sketch, you are giving me the right to recycle that sketch into another commission or to use for my personal art.
You may only get a refund on art less than $10 if I have not already started work.

Approval/Changes

For $10+ commissions, you must approve a sketch before I complete the linework or add color. At this point, you may suggest any desired changes in pose, expression, etc. within reason. The changes you suggest must be in line with your original commission description, so you can't just decide to have me make 20 free sketches for you ;)After that initial approval, I usually cannot add anything to the drawing that wasn't part of the original quote. That means, when I am halfway through the final drawing, I cannot guarantee that I can add a pair of wings or a different outfit without having to undo a lot of work I've already completed. If you decide that you want to upgrade your commission to a different kind (for example, you paid for flat colors but now want shading), that is usually possible. I will send a new invoice for the difference in price.*After you see the final, colored drawing, you can suggest changes for things that I clearly got wrong (missing markings, wrong colors, things that I missed coloring, etc.). You cannot request that I completely redesign all your character's markings or make structural changes that would impact the character's silhoette/major lines.

Turnaround Time

Most drawings under $10 will be done within one week. Most drawings that cost more than $10 will take one to two weeks. All art (outside of specialty cases) will be complete in under one month, provided that you respond to any questions/approval messages in a timely manner.Drawings that require a sketch approval depend on you responding to me, so I cannot be held to a specific time limit if you take a week or more to approve/pay. If you suggest changes to a sketch, I generally try to get those to you ASAP, but may need an additional few days if it needs to be redone completely.I usually work on commissions during the weekend or late at night because I have a day job, but can often respond to messages from my phone throughout the week.If something happens that will prevent me from meeting our initial deadline, I will let you know ASAP. If the art would be delayed by more than one month (or past a date you required it by, i.e. a birthday/holiday), I will offer a discount on the art or give you the option for a refund. Communication is very important to me (I've been that commissioner stuck waiting over a year with no word from my artist!!), so I guarantee that you won't be ghosted.

High-Quality/PSD Files

If you have a particularly large commission file, I will offer to email you a higher-quality PNG image. At your request, I am happy to provide a link to the PSD (Photoshop) file, which you may use however you like within reason (have another artist color it in, save it in case your character's markings change, etc.). You can also use this file to generate custom jpg or png versions. Just please, don't claim the artwork as your own, and do NOT make any edits that could be considered offensive (don't go adding slurs or hate symbols, etc.). Also, please do not use it for any kind of AI training.Request this file at the time you get the final drawing, or else I will delete them to save space on my computer.

Permissions

You are welcome to repost the commission anywhere you want to, but please credit me and link back to one of my pages when you can. If possible, I really appreciate when people link to my original submission.I reserve the right to post any WIPs or finished pieces to my social media/commission site. If a piece is a gift or otherwise needs to be private for a time, let me know when you submit the commission request.Do not claim the art or any of my characters as your own.

AI

I do not use AI tools to generate any of my artwork.
I do not approve of anyone using my art, even commissioned, to train AI.
I do not approve of anyone using my (commissioned or not) art as a base to modify with AI tools.
Please respect my wishes and those of other artists who feel similarly.

Tips

Tips are always appreciated, either through my Ko-fi page here or attached to a commission payment. Thanks so much!!

Adoptable Terms

Payment

When you state that you want to purchase an adoptable design/win it in an auction, I will message you that it has been claimed and request your Paypal address for an invoice.Adoption fees must be paid within 48 hours of my initial message. Characters will not be held past then, and will go back for sale immediately. If I recieve the payment late and someone else has already placed another bid/won, you will be refunded as soon as I notice and am able to reach my computer. You may attempt to purchase the character again if no one else has, but if you fail to pay within 24 hours the second time, you will be banned from my adoptables going forward. As soon as I receive payment, you may start using the character however you want (within reason; do not use my designs/art for hateful purposes). If you wish to keep them on Toyhou.se, feel free to credit me as designer (LadySilvie).
If you wanted an additional reference sheet design, it will take some time for me to complete the new art. See my Commission Terms above for the process.
Refunds
There are no refunds on adoptables. After you make your payment, they are yours. You know what you are paying for upfront :)

Expanding Reference Sheets

Frequently, I will list the "base price" for a character adopt, and then additional prices which include a more detailed reference guide.Usually, additional pricing is as follows:
-Add back view: +$5
-Add emote (face close-up with a particular expression): +$3/expression
-Add outfit choice: +$4/outfit
At the time of payment, send me the basic details you want included on the reference sheet, such as name, likes/dislikes, height/weight, sexual preference, description, etc. I will edit these for grammar and include them on any level of reference sheet for no additional charge. I'm a technical editor at my day job, so don't take offense if I modify any text you send me without notice... it's habit, haha!

Character Usage

Characters you adopt are fully yours - you can make any changes you want and draw or commission them in any way you desire.* You are also welcome to modify the original drawing I provide of them (to change patterns/etc.).* Just please mark somewhere in their primary reference (or the image description) that I was the original designer.I love seeing my designs used, so feel free to message me a link to anything you do with them! You can sell "dates" or YCHs with them, or make money off of them in any similar way without needing to tell me first.*Please do not use my art of them to create AI pieces.

Trading/Reselling

You may trade the adopted character for other characters as you wish, but I prefer if you let me know so I can continue to follow what happens to them and can verify that they weren't stolen :)You can resell the adopted character for the same amount that you paid for them originally. I prefer people not to buy up my cheaper designs and then immediately resell them for a profit, because that is disrespectful. If you have had additional art drawn of them in the time since they became yours, you may add the value of that art to the cost of the adopt.Again, please let me know where they end up! I like seeing them around :)
